Ken Griffey Jr. took on an unexpected job at the Masters last week, and it is fair to say the MLB legend crushed it.

Griffey worked as a credentialed photographer for the 2025 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. Several of his photos were highlighted throughout the event, and it is clear the Hall of Fame slugger has become very serious about photography since he retired from baseball.

One particular photo that Griffey took has gone viral and been widely praised. The 13-time MLB All-Star is one of the many photographers who captured the moment after Rory McIlroy birdied a sudden-death playoff hole to finally complete the career grand slam.

The Cincinnati Reds paid this photographer $3,593,750 last year and I swear it's true. https://t.co/n3xdP07zKg

Griffey will always be best known for blasting 630 career home runs and having one of the sweetest swings in baseball history, but the 55-year-old has become quite good at his new craft as well.

The world first got a look at Griffey’s new passion at the 2022 Home Run Derby, where he became a viral meme. He has worked other events since then, including one of Lionel Messi’s MLS games.

We can expect to see Griffey with his camera at more high-profile sporting events in the future.
