Mike Pelfrey has some weird habits on the mound. The guys licks himself incessantly and was counted licking himself 89 times during a 2011 start. And when he’s not licking himself or the ball or his hand or whatever, he’s making funny motions with his lips.
Is that how he settles himself down? It didn’t work too well during his Thursday start against the Blue Jays — he gave up 5 runs, 4 hits and 5 walks in 4.1 innings — but it sure looks awesome when played on a loop!
