According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network, billionaire Mike Repole, a lifelong Mets fan, is involved in the Rodriguez-Lopez bid as a general partner.
BREAKING: The A-Rod/J-Lo bid to buy the Mets is VERY REAL.
Sources say lifelong Mets fan, Queens native and billionaire Mike Repole, of BodyArmor & Vitaminwater fame + successful horse owner, has joined the group as a general partner.

Repole is the co-founder of Glaceau, which went on to produce the well-known Vitaminwater brand. After selling Glaceau for $4.1 billion in 2007, he co-founded another sports drink company, known for producing BodyArmor. He is also a thoroughbred owner who runs Repole Stables.
We heard recently that Rodriguez and Lopez were having success finding some investors for a prospective bid. Repole appears to be a big part of that bid, and could boost the group’s chances of successfully buying the team.
