
MLB draft prospect Seth Romero was kicked off the team at Houston, the Cougars announced on Wednesday. The dismissal is the product of multiple issues, culminating in a fight during batting practice on Tuesday, according to a report.

D1 Baseball’s Kendall Rogers tweeted that the incident was an altercation during the team’s batting practice on Tuesday.

According to a previous report from the Houston Chronicle, Romero was recently reinstated from a suspension for failing a drug test, missing curfew, and being photographed holding a bong.
Romero, a left-handed pitcher, was ranked No. 20 on MLB Draft’s top 100 list.

The southpaw was 4-5 for Houston this year with a 3.51 ERA. What really stood out were his 85 strikeouts in 48.2 innings pitched.
