Phillies ‘Karen’ receives lucrative offer to make apology

Woman confronts fellow Phillies fan about Harrison Bader's home run ball

The notorious Philadelphia Phillies “Karen” fan is surprisingly getting an opportunity to cash in on the incident.

On Tuesday, Phillies “Karen” received an offer from the trading card company Blowout Cards in an official statement posted to their website. The statement said that the company would give the woman $5,000 for the infamous home run ball that she took away from a father and son during last Friday’s Phillies-Miami Marlins game.

Blowout Cards states that they simply would like to return the ball to the boy and that the Phillies “Karen” will also need to write the inscription “I’m sorry” on the baseball in order to receive the $5,000. You can read the company’s full statement at the link here.

Phillies “Karen” became the Internet’s No. 1 enemy over the weekend after getting beat to a home run ball off the bat of Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader and then berating the man who had secured the ball for his son until he gave the ball back to her (video here). A separate viral clip also later emerged of the woman getting booed by surrounding fans for taking the ball and waving her middle finger around in response.

The boy involved ended up getting a series of goodies from both the Marlins and the Phillies as a result (including a meeting and a signed bat from Bader himself). Meanwhile, the boy’s father has since spoken out about the incident in an interview.

Despite a couple failed attempts by the Internet that have mistakenly pointed in the direction of completely different women, Phillies “Karen” still has not been publicly identified. However, the incident continues to light social media ablaze, and even the Savannah Bananas recently got in on the fun with a hilarious recreation.
