David Price’s arm issues reportedly aren’t changing the Boston Red Sox’s trade deadline plans.
In spite of Price landing on the disabled list, the Red Sox have no intention of jumping into the trade market for starting pitchers, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
#RedSox do not currently anticipate pursuing starting pitcher due to Price injury. With Dombrowski, subject to change.

As Rosenthal notes, Red Sox president Dave Dombrowski is one of baseball’s more unpredictable executives, so this could change quickly.
For now, though, it makes sense. Price’s latest setback is unquestionably a blow to their postseason ambitions, but it would be difficult for them to jump in for one of the bigger starters on the market at this late stage, with the trade deadline roughly 72 hours away.
