Royals officials thrown out of Tim Lincecum’s secret throwing location
Tim Lincecum is throwing in a private location while he rehabs from hip surgery, and he is not ready for MLB teams to watch him yet. Royals officials found that out the hard way.
MLB Network’s Jon Heyman has been reporting that Lincecum, a free agent, is throwing in a secret location in Arizona to get ready for the season. He shared the news on Wednesday about the encounter with the Royals:
Lincecum throwing at secret Valley location. Royals only ones to find him, but upon arrival, were politely escorted out!

Heyman also says that Lincecum is still a week or two away from being able to pitch for teams.
Tim lincecum is working hard, building strength and doing well. He's a perfectionist, tho, so showcase may be week or 2 away

The Padres are a team that has been reported to have serious interest in Lincecum, with the Orioles and Marlins also having interest in the former Cy Young Award winner. The Giants are also said to have interest in bringing Lincecum back. It would be even easier for them to sign the 31-year-old if they let this man pay for it.
Lincecum’s skills have been declining since posting a stellar season in 2011. He went 7-4 with a 4.13 ERA last season.
