Shohei Ohtani had a heck of an all-around day on Wednesday night.
The Japanese star threw off a mound for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in October. MLB.com Angels reporter Rhett Bollinger shared video of Ohtani’s throwing session:

As if that weren’t enough, he later had a big day at the plate DHing in the three spot for the Angels against the Cincinnati Reds.
Ohtani went 3-for-3 with a single, double, home run and walk in the Angels’ 5-1 win. The Angels have now gone over .500 for the first time since April 13.
Ohtani is up to .291/.354/.506 on the season. As a pitcher last year, he went 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 51.2 innings, showing he has All-Star ability as both a hitter and pitcher.
