Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski has quickly become one of the best pitchers in all of baseball.
The Brewers phenom has a 10-4 record with a 1.62 ERA and 167 strikeouts, leading all of MLB in ERA and strikeouts. Misiorowski also set a new record with a pitch that hit 105.5 MPH on the radar gun.
Still, despite his quick rise and Cy Young campaign, the Brewers are reportedly not in contract extension talks for the 24-year-old, according to Robert Murray of Fansided.
“Despite blossoming into one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, there have been no conversations between superstar right-hander Jacob Misiorowski and the Milwaukee Brewers, league sources say,” Murray wrote.
It’s a bit of a surprise, especially since Misiorowski made the All-Star team as a rookie and made it again this season, although he isn’t pitching due to injury concerns.
Right now, Misiorowski is a Pre-Arbitration player with the Brewers, and he will then go to Arbitration before finally becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2032, due to MLB’s rules.
In 2025, Milwaukee made an offer to Misiorowski, but it was reportedly not close to what the young hurler was looking for.
The Milwaukee Brewers are interested in working on a contract extension for star rookie Jacob Misiorowski, according to industry sources.

They made an offer earlier in the 2025 season, but they’re still far apart from what Misiorowski and his agency are looking for.
The Brewers would be very wise to begin contract extension talks with Misiorowski as soon as possible, especially with his price tag increasing every start, and he figures to cash in on a massive payday at some point.
