Tim Tebow finished for 2019 with hand laceration
Tim Tebow’s baseball season is over due to a hand laceration he suffered last month.
According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, Tebow suffered a gash on his hand that required stitches, and he won’t be able to recover in time to play again in 2019. The Mets do, however, expect him to play baseball again in 2020.
Tim Tebow is done for the year due to the hand laceration he suffered last month, sources confirmed. The gash was "in a really bad spot," one person said, and required stitches.
The Mets expect Tebow, who hit .163/.240/.255 in his first taste of AAA, to play in 2020 at age 32.

After a decent 2018 season in AA, Tebow struggled to adapt to the AAA level, posting a miserable .495 OPS in 77 games. He’s shown the occasional ability to hit the pitching there, but it’s been a season to forget, and he can only hope that he’ll do better in 2020 with a little more knowledge of what to expect.
