Trevor Bauer has already issued a warning to those who will be selecting this year’s AL All-Star team.
The Cleveland Indians pitcher unequivocally believes that he deserves to be an All-Star. In fact, he says that if he’s not an All-Star, those doing the selecting got it wrong.
Trevor Bauer: "I should be an All-Star. I'd imagine I will be and if I'm not, they didn't get it right, whoever they is. I'm glad I'm pitching well. That's been the goal, I feel like I should be an All-Star every year. That's the standard I hold myself to."

Bauer’s comments came on Wednesday after he made yet another excellent start for the Indians. He pitched 7.2 innings allowing just two runs while striking out eight. He’s having a career-year across the board and is now 8-6 with a 2.45 ERA and 156 strikeouts. There is no doubt that those kinds of stats merit an All-Star selection. Now the question becomes whether AJ Hinch, who will be managing the AL All-Star team, adds Bauer.
What we know is that Bauer really really wants this, as it’s not the first time he’s raised the subject.
