Yu Darvish had been waiting a year and a half to get back at Justin Verlander over a tweet, and he finally got his revenge.
First, let’s travel back to April 2018 when Darvish tripped while rounding second base after hitting a double and had to dive back to the bag in an embarrassing move. Verlander mocked the Chicago Cubs pitcher for the blunder.

Well guess what happened? Sure enough during Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday night, Verlander committed an equally embarrassing play on the mound. And guess who was there with a nearly identical payback tweet?
