76ers fans flood doctor who performed Joel Embiid’s latest knee surgery with 5-star reviews

Philadelphia 76ers fans are beyond grateful for the surgical care Dr. Jonathan Glashow provided to Joel Embiid.

Embiid had his 2024-25 season cut short due to yet another knee injury, playing in just 19 games before being shut down by the Sixers. Glashow, an orthopedic surgeon based in New York City, performed arthroscopic surgery on Embiid’s knee last April at NYU Langone Sports Medicine Center.

With Embiid’s injury woes piling up, many felt his days as a superstar center were over. Embiid, however, has played like his All-Star self for most of the season. After overcoming a rough start to the year, Embiid has averaged 25.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists on 49.1% shooting from the floor to help Philly contend for a top-6 playoff spot.

76ers fans have made sure to extend their gratitude to Glashow with several 5-star reviews of his surgical prowess on Google.

Embiid has averaged 33.2 points over his last six games, which was around what he averaged during his MVP season in 2022-23. While Embiid still doesn’t play both ends of back-to-backs, he’s looked far better than fans expected coming into the campaign.

Glashow also performed the latest knee procedure on Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard, who has been having a similar resurgence on the opposite coast.

Glashow’s tagline on his office’s website is that he provides “All-Star treatment for athletes of all levels.” The man is probably going to get a lot more patients from the highest levels of sports after his (so far) successful surgeries on Embiid and Leonard.
