Was Joel Embiid just asking for trouble with Philly sports fans on Thursday night? It seems so.
Embiid, who has been a member of the Philadelphia 76ers since being drafted by them No. 3 overall in 2014, tweeted “Go Pack Go” on Thursday night.

Embiid’s tweet came as the Eagles were facing the Packers in Green Bay. His tweet was no doubt bizarre, though he has a history of saying “Go Pack Go.”
Btw, not Joel Embiid’s first time rooting for the Packers. Not sure why, but: pic.twitter.com/xBVYUFV2mD

Embiid has endeared himself to the fans in Philadelphia. He has nicknamed himself “The Process” as an homage to Sam Hinkie’s long-term strategy with the Sixers. He attended the Super Bowl when the Eagles beat the Patriots. And he’s rooting for the Packers against them?
If there were ever a time for an athlete to say he was hacked and me to believe it, this would be it.
