Amare Stoudemire enrolls at Miami for college, throws up the U (Picture)
Amare Stoudemire is continuing his offseason of enrichment program. Last year it was all about connecting with his Jewish roots, and this year he’s going back to school.
“Just enrolled at the University of Miami. Working on continuing my education,” he tweeted on Monday.
I know you probably have a joke ready about how he should be taking anger management classes instead of college classes, but this is commendable. Stoudemire went to the NBA straight out of high school, so anything he’s doing to learn more is a good thing. As long as he’s actually putting in work and studying rather than getting one of those lame honorary degrees, it’s hard not to support this.
