Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical has reported earlier in the day that buyout negotiations were being finalized.
Minnesota guard Andre Miller is finalizing a buyout, agent Andy Miller tells @TheVertical. Miller wants to to sign with a playoff contender.

Miller, 39, averaged just 3.9 points per game and 2.2 assists per game in 26 appearances for Minnesota this season, but his stats were never what was important. Along with Tayshaun Prince and Kevin Garnett, Miller served as one of the Jedi Masters of the Timberwolves, training the team’s young Padawans in finding their way to basketball enlightenment.
With 17 NBA seasons now under his belt and still no championship ring to show for it, Miller is now indeed free to latch on with a contender in the hopes of making one final hurrah at a title, which was never going to happen while he was in Minnesota.
