Angel Reese hit with the memes after shoe deal announced

Some big news about Angel Reese was announced on Thursday, but it didn’t come without the typical treatment from the internet.
Reese, who was a rookie for the Chicago Sky this season, has signed a deal with Reebok to have a signature shoe produced by the sports apparel company. The shoe is set to be released in 2026.
The announcement about the deal was met with excitment from fans of Reese, but it also resulted in plenty of jokes. There were memes about how the shoe should resemble a brick for all the easy shots near the basket that Reese misses.

Reese’s tendency to miss shots near the basket — which creates so many rebound opportunities — has not been lost on fans. In this case, it resulted in plenty of funny jokes.
Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game and made the All-Star team, but she shot 39.1 percent from the field.
