Angel Reese haters were mighty silent on Monday, as the Atlanta Dream star forward made WNBA history against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Reese’s stunning performance on the glass also left her teammate, Allisha Gray, in utter disbelief at what she was witnessing during the game at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif.
Reese set the WNBA record for most rebounds in a game and passed A’ja Wilson for most boards in a single season when she grabbed a total of 26 rebounds in the Dream’s 78-71 win over the Sparks.
After the game, Gray was very candid about Reese’s body of work in the game.
“Yo, I was looking at the stat thing, and I’m like, ‘Dang. 20-something.’ How many rebounds she had? Like, 20, 21, 22, 23 rebounds?” Gray said in the postgame interview.
“And I’m like, I don’t think in my life I got more than 10 rebounds.”
Allisha reaction to Angel rebounds is killing me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

While Reese took care of business on the glass, Gray did her part by pacing the Dream in scoring. Gray had 20 points on 7/11 shooting, along with six assists and three rebounds.
On top of her absurd rebounding total, Reese had 11 points on 4/14 shooting to go along with three assists and three steals.
Reese now has 458 rebounds on the season, and she could tie and break another record soon following her double-double showing against the Sparks. With 27 double-doubles thus far in the campaign, the former LSU Tigers star is just one double-double away from tying Alyssa Thomas’ WNBA mark set in 2023.
