Anthony Edwards seems to have accepted the Minnesota Timberwolves’ fate amid the ongoing NBA free agency saga involving LeBron James.
The Timberwolves star was recently at Fanatics Fest in New York, where ESPN’s Kevin Negandhi asked him about Minnesota being among the top teams linked to four-time NBA Most Valuable Player James.
Edwards, however, did not sound too optimistic in his response to Negandhi.
“I have nothing to say about it because I’ve seen his top three teams,” Edwards simply responded, “We’re not in it.”
Anthony Edwards was asked about his thoughts on Minnesota being on that short list of teams that LeBron is interested in:

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat are widely viewed as the three leading candidates to land James at the moment. The Golden State Warriors were initially considered a favorite to earn the King’s nod, but that no longer appears to be the case.
The Timberwolves are not exactly a historically appealing destination for superstar free agents, but that should not stop them from at least kicking the tires on James, who will turn 42 years old in December.
Could Edwards also just be playing possum on the topic? That is nothing more than a wild speculation at the moment, but at the very least, Minnesota has already made a big acquisition in the summer after successfully trading for Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball.
