Ben Simmons is keeping it in the LeBron James family.
Simmons will be signing with Klutch Sports Agency according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Klutch Sports Agency is funded by LeBron and run by Rich Paul, who represents James, Tristan Thompson, John Wall and Eric Bledsoe among others.
Woj says this move has long been in the works. James reportedly began recruiting Simmons hard when the Australian native attended the four-time NBA MVP’s skills academy in 2014. Klutch Sports even hired Simmons’ sister to work for them in 2014 as well.
Simmons has long been considered a very strongly contender to be the top overall draft pick. He can begin preparing for the NBA immediately as his LSU Tigers declined a postseason bid to the NIT.
Simmons averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season for LSU. He has drawn comparisons to James thanks to his all-around play.
