Blake Griffin reflects on time with Clippers, thanks fans for support
Blake Griffin may have been as shocked as the rest of us when the Los Angeles Clippers traded him to the Detroit Pistons on Monday, but he addressed the blockbuster deal after having a night to sleep on it.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Griffin reflected on his time with the Clippers and thanked fans and the organization for their support. He also said he is looking forward to beginning the next phase of his career in Detroit.

Griffin, who is averaging 22.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, is likely just the first domino to fall. The Clippers appear to be committed to a total rebuild, and they are reportedly looking to trade at least two of their other top players.
By clearing Griffin’s max salary off the books, the Clippers may be thinking about making a run at the biggest free agent prize on the market this summer.
