Brandon Jennings reportedly got punched in face by rapper The Game

Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings was reportedly involved in a fight with a famous rapper in Los Angeles over the weekend. According to a report from HipHollywood.com, Jennings was socked in the face by The Game

Believe it or not, the fight is said to have broke out over microphone time. Sources told HipHollywood.com that Jennings and The Game were allegedly hanging out at Lure nightclub’s popular day party “Toxic” over the weekend, which is an event that The Game supposedly frequents. Jennings happened to be there celebrating his birthday party. Here’s what they say went down:

Jennings was at Lure hosting his birthday party with friends, which didn’t sit well with the Compton rapper who frequents the club. ‘Game feels like Toxic is his, and he didn’t like that Jennings was hogging the microphone. He felt like he was being disrespected,’ one person who witnessed the altercation tells us. ‘Game tried to have words with him, and it just escalated quickly and Game hit Brandon in the mouth,’ another source says.”

Security reportedly broke up the altercation and allowed both parties to remain at the club, but the party was shut down after Jennings and his crew got into it again with The Game and his crew. We know that Jennings is a big supporter of Drake and has hung out with Drake’s OVO crew, so maybe there’s some friction over the opposing rap groups. Also, Jennings and The Game played on opposing teams in the LA-based Drew League during the summer, so they might have some beef from that league, too.

We have seen plenty of examples of Jennings having an attitude problem on the court, so this isn’t exactly a shock. What is kind of surprising is the thought of two grown men getting physical over who is allowed to talk into a microphone. Can’t we all just get along?

UPDATE: The Game has denied punching Jennings, but does that mean Jennings didn’t get punched?
