The Game says he did not punch Brandon Jennings in the face
For those of you who were unaware, there is a rumor floating around that Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings was punched in the face by rapper The Game at a club in Los Angeles over the weekend. The Game, who is a regular at Lure nightclub’s “Toxic” day party, supposedly got into it with Jennings over microphone time.
The Game insists that is not the way it went down. During an interview with “The Big Tigger Show” on V-103 in Atlanta, The Game said Jennings did indeed get punched but that it was someone else who threw the swing. Black Sports Online captured the audio of Game’s denial.
“I didn’t punch that dude in the face, man,” The Game said. “I was right there. Some words were exchanged and he got into it with somebody and it took off, man. I was right there. I seen it, but it wasn’t me.”
On Tuesday night, Jennings tweeted that he was sucker punched but said it wasn’t by The Game. Of course, we don’t know what to believe. The Pistons are probably going to advise Jennings not to comment on the incident, so I doubt we will be hearing much from him. The bottom line is it sounds like he definitely got into a fight at the club, we just don’t know who actually threw swings. That information is probably irrelevant to the Pistons, who just want Jennings to stay out of trouble.
