Brandon Jennings signs with NBA G League, claimed by Wisconsin Herd
Brandon Jennings is one step closer to returning to the NBA, as the former top-10 draft pick is reportedly signing with an NBA G League team.
Basketball reporter Adam Johnson noted on Tuesday that Jennings has signed a contract to play in the G League, and Marc Stein of the New York Times later added that the point guard has been claimed by the Wisconsin Herd, who had the top overall waiver spot in the developmental league.

Jennings, 28, last played in the NBA for the Washington Wizards, and he spent some time with the Shanxi Brave Dragons in China after that. He has now returned to the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, which is the team that used the No. 10 overall pick on Jennings back in 2009.
Jennings has averaged 14.3 points during his NBA career, but he played sparingly throughout the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons with the Pistons, Magic, Knicks and Wizards. The last notable thing he did in the NBA was take a shot at Paul Pierce, though Pierce later returned the favor.
