The Milwaukee Bucks have just two games remaining this season, with their playoff hopes officially over. And, fans were hoping to see Giannis Antetokounmpo one more time at Fiserv Forum.

However, that won’t be the case. On Thursday, the Bucks ruled Antetokounmpo out for Friday’s home finale against the Brooklyn Nets.

Injury Report – April 10 vs. Brooklyn

Out:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Left Knee Hyperextension; Bone Bruise)
Kevin Porter Jr. (Right Knee Surgery)
Bobby Portis Jr. (Left Wrist Sprain)
Gary Trent Jr. (Internal Oblique Muscle Strain)

Antetokounmpo last played on March 15 against the Indiana Pacers, and questions swirled about whether or not he would return this season.

Milwaukee’s odd handling of the Antetokounmpo injury situation has prompted an investigation by the NBA. Antetokounmpo even made it clear that he wants to play if he is allowed to.

Antetokounmpo’s name came up in trade talks this past deadline, but Milwaukee ultimately decided to hold on to him, although a deal in the summer could very well be the case. Recent reports stated that the team was accused of blowing off Antetokounmpo’s trade request.

Regardless, Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t return this season, and there is a very realistic chance that he doesn’t play a home game at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee again after being ruled out for the home final on Friday night.
