Carmelo Anthony is hoping to win a championship ring before he retires. And what do NBA players do when they want to give themselves the best chance at winning a title? They try to make their way to the Golden State Warriors, of course.
On Wednesday morning, Anthony sent a pair of since-deleted tweets that many viewed as his way of trying to sell himself to the Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. The first tweet was directed at LeBron James, and the second went to Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.

Of those two teams, it seems more likely that Carmelo would sign with the Lakers. He’s close friends with LeBron, and James said recently that he still wants to play with buddy before the two retire.
Anthony is technically still under contract with the Houston Rockets, but he’s on leave after his brief stint with them did not work out. The 34-year-old’s game is nowhere near the level it used to be, which is why some wonder if his NBA career could be coming to a close.
