Clippers reportedly interested in Tobias Harris reunion if Kawhi does not come
The LA Clippers may be turning to a familiar face if they cannot land their Plan A in free agency.
The Athletic’s Sham Charania reported on Wednesday that the Clippers figure to express interest in reuniting with forward Tobias Harris if they miss out on Kawhi Leonard. Charania notes that Harris and the Clippers had a good relationship during their time together.
The 26-year-old Harris, who put up 20.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last year, spent two seasons in Los Angeles before being dealt to Philadelphia last February. Prior to being traded, Harris was the Clippers’ leading scorer and a key catalyst behind their 32-win first half of the season.
Harris may not be returning to the Sixers, and while he is not the Clippers’ first option, they could do much worse than reuniting with a quality primary scorer who is already well familiar with their system.
