LeBron James has not had the best of times since joining the Los Angeles Lakers, and on Sunday, he offered up another bad look with the team playing out the string.
James was sitting away from the huddle during a timeout Sunday against the New York Knicks, and broadcaster and NBA icon Walt “Clyde” Frazier unloaded on him, going as far as to say James “doesn’t really care.”

“When you’re the face of the NBA, I think you should be more a part of your team no matter what is going on,” Frazier said. “In the public you got to be a part pf the team. In the locker room you’re not, but you have to exude that type of togetherness in public, folks. And right we see he doesn’t really care.”
It’s hard to argue with Frazier’s interpretation of James’ body language, especially keeping in mind that the Lakers won’t be going to the playoffs. Their star player appears to have checked out, and the experiment, at least this year, has not worked. No wonder another prominent broadcaster once associated with the Knicks thinks the Lakers should consider taking some drastic steps when it comes to James’ roster status.
