DeAndre Jordan partied with the Thunder hours after OKC beat the Clippers
Earlier this season, Clippers forward Blake Griffin denied that the team had a rivalry with the Golden State Warriors. Apparently, frontcourt buddy DeAndre Jordan feels the same way about the Clippers’ dynamic with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Just hours after Kevin Durant ripped out the souls of Clipper Nation with a go-ahead jumper followed by a game-saving block of Chris Paul to lift the Thunder to a 100-99 victory in front of a stunned Staples Center crowd on Monday, Jordan was spotted partying later that night with several members of Oklahoma City.
Video footage obtained by TMZ Sports on Tuesday showed the Clippers center at Henry’s in Hollywood along with Durant, Russell Westbrook, Nick Collison, and Steve Novak.
Nothing, not even the searing pain of a fresh defeat, can get in the way of having a good time, it seems.
This isn’t a great look for Jordan, a player who has had his competitive fire questioned in the past, and it’s especially curious considering the shade-throwing comments Durant made prior to the game almost directly clowning Jordan for his free throw woes.
Generally speaking, it’s good to be able to distinguish your business dealings from your personal/social dealings and not let the two interfere with one another. But when you’re a professional basketball player that’s chumming it up with an in-conference adversary that handed you a devastating loss on your home floor just hours before, it’s something entirely different.
