Report: 1 notable buyout candidate is off the market
One notable potential buyout candidate seems to be off the market.
Dennis Schroder was traded by Boston to Houston prior to the deadline less than two weeks ago. There were questions about whether the Rockets would keep Schroder considering they’re rebuilding.
According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, it does not look like Schroder will be bought out by the Rockets.
Dennis Schroder is on course to finish the season in Houston, league sources say.
Neither the Rockets nor Schroder favor a buyout, sources say, with a March 1 deadline looming for any buyout candidate leaguewide to be released to ensure playoff eligibility with his next team.

Schroder has played three games for the Rockets. He had 23 points in his second game with the team and has posted consecutive 9-assist games.
The 28-year-old guard is making $5.89 million this season and set to be a free agent. Maybe he feels Houston is a place he can showcase his abilities in hopes of getting a multi-year offer.
One Western Conference team could be disappointed with this reported outcome.
