Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker on Wednesday had some backup in tormenting Luka Doncic at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

One fan rocking a Booker jersey truly got under Doncic’s skin during the Dallas Mavericks’ 132-109 loss to the Suns. Despite being in enemy territory, the Suns fan repeatedly heckled the Mavs star throughout the first half of the contest.

Doncic was later seen pointing out the heckler, which led to arena officials confronting the fan (video here).

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the fan voluntarily exited the venue as the Suns were holding a massive lead late. It was initially reported that the fan was ejected at Doncic’s behest.

Booker, who’s been at odds with Doncic for years now, appeared delighted when he found out that the heckling fan was wearing a Booker jersey. The Suns guard even went so far as to reach out to the fan, presumably to reward him in some manner for his show of loyalty.

“I appreciate the support,” Booker told MacMahon. “I don’t know what he said. I hope he didn’t cross too many lines, and I’ll be getting his information. If you can find it, let me know.”

The Suns star won the latest battle in the Booker-Doncic war. Booker went off for 46 points on a stellar 17/23 shooting clip. Doncic had 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists in the blowout loss.
