Adrian Wojnarowski defied a supposed agreement between top NBA reporters not to tip draft picks in hilarious fashion on Thursday.
According to an article from Awful Announcing on Tuesday, ESPN, Turner and Yahoo all agreed not to have reporters tip draft picks on social media. The purpose of the agreement was to create more suspense for a better TV-watching experience.
Despite the report, Woj kept tipping draft picks via his Twitter account. He just created his own loophole to skirt the matter by coming up with different ways to imply a pick rather than use the specific language “will select.”
Some of the terms Woj used instead were:
– fixated on
– has a laser on
– unlikely to resist
– enamored with
Folks on social media were enjoying the game and couldn’t wait to see what terminology Woj would come up with next.
