Goran Dragic willing to take team-friendly deal to return to Heat?

Goran Dragic Heat

Goran Dragic is one of the longest-tenured players on the Miami Heat roster, and he could be open to making concessions in order to keep it that way.

Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reported on Monday that the former All-Star guard might be willing to take a team-friendly deal to return to the Heat.

Dragic, who will be a free agent this offseason, is turning 34 next month. He has made a graceful transition in his advancing age however, accepting and thriving in a sixth man role for Miami this season with averages of 16.1 points and 5.1 assists in just 28.4 minutes per game.

The Slovenian already got paid by the Heat to the tune of a five-year, $85 million deal he signed in 2015. Dragic thinks that he has many more years of production left, but with the team hoping to maintain flexibility for the golden free agent summer of 2021, now could be the time for him to pay it forward.
