Gregg Popovich counts Spurs championships during parade (Video)

Gregg-Popovich-counts-championshipsOne of the best things about the San Antonio Spurs winning their fifth NBA championship this year is watching Gregg Popovich come out of his shell. We’re so used to seeing Pop berate sideline reporters that we forget he is actually capable of smiling without looking like he wants to rip someone’s head off. The Spurs’ championship parade was Popovich at his finest.

At one point, Pop put up his hand and starting counting San Antonio’s championships on his fingers. While we think he was just counting the rings, others have speculated that he was trolling LeBron and the whole “not one, not two, not three…” thing he did when the Miami Heat first assembled their Big Three.

Either way, Popovich knew how to work the crowd. I mean, it was his fifth parade. Pop knows what the people want to see.
