The Dallas Mavericks are apparently more than happy to take care of Golden State’s salary cap burdens.
The Mavericks have reportedly agreed to a four year deal with free agent Harrison Barnes worth $94 million.
ESPN sources say Dallas and unrestricted free agent-to-be Harrison Barnes have struck a verbal agreement on a four-year, $94 million deal

Barnes was a restricted free agent, but he was a goner the second Kevin Durant chose the Warriors. Golden State was set to renounce their rights to him, making him an unrestricted free agent and thus enabling Dallas to make this move. Even if Golden State hadn’t done so, the Mavs planned to give Barnes an offer sheet.
With Andrew Bogut also reportedly headed to Dallas via trade, the Mavs are pretty much taking on everyone that Golden State needed to push out to make the Durant deal happen. Some NBA executives are probably crossing Mark Cuban off their Christmas card list because of it.
