Inside the NBA crew sends emotional condolences after Shaq’s sister dies of cancer
The TNT “Inside the NBA” crew expressed condolences to Shaq and the O’Neal family during Thursday’s pregame show.
Host Ernie Johnson opened up by explaining why Shaq was not with the crew for its show outside the new Chase Center in San Francisco. He shared that Ayesha Harrison-Jex, who is Shaq’s sister, had died on Thursday from cancer at the age of 40.
“His heart is breaking tonight,” Johnson said of Shaq. “He said his world revolves around his brother and two sisters.”

Ernie said that Shaq is struggling and they are struggling too because they are all family. You could see the emotion coming from the Turner Sports host as he spoke.
