Thomas has not played this season for the Cavaliers due to his hip injury. Thomas suffered a hip injury last season and re-aggravated it during the playoffs. The Cavs were aware he would miss time when they acquired him from Boston, but his absence has been fairly lengthy.
The Cavs are 23-8 and have completely turned things around after beginning the season 5-7.
