Isaiah Thomas is about to making his much-awaited Cleveland Cavaliers debut, and he is not here for the disrespect.
Chris Forsberg of ESPN reported that Thomas, who will debut for the Cavs on Tuesday against Portland but will sit out on Wednesday against his ex-team, the Boston Celtics, requested not to have a tribute video shown by the Celtics.
The Celtics will not run a video tribute for Isaiah Thomas on Wednesday night — at Thomas’ request.
Team plans to save it for future date.

One sportswriter, Boston-based hockey reporter Jimmy Murphy, took offense to the news and tweeted at Thomas, accusing him of having a big ego.
@isaiahthomas ego may be even bigger than @KingJames! No tribute video? Get over yourself! #Celtics #Cavs

Thomas soon hit back at Murphy, tweeting at him, “Get over myself huh? Because I would like to actually PLAY & have my family in the arena to appreciate the LOVE the city/organization will show US? It ain’t about me it’s about my family… Ha you get over yourself you dumba–.”
It’s not the first time that the two-time All-Star has gone after the media in recent days, and you can bet that he is very much looking forward to finally getting back on the court and quieting the haters with his play once again.
