J. Paul Slavens performs song ‘Rajon Rondo is the Worst’ (Video)
Rajon Rondo is far from the most popular man in the Dallas area these days. It’s gotten so bad musician J. Paul Slavens performed a song at The Live Oak in Fort Worth about how Rondo is “the worst.”
When the Dallas Mavericks traded for Rajon Rondo it was supposed to propel the team towards an NBA championship. However, the move has proved to be a disaster with the situation deteriorating to the point where it doesn’t seem like the former All-Star will ever play for the Mavericks again.
After Dallas’ loss in game two of their first round playoff series against the Rockets, Rondo left the locker room without speaking to the media. During the game, he played just 10 minutes after picking up two fouls in quick succession along with a technical foul. Rondo was also called for a back court violation while walking the ball up the court in the first half.
The Mavericks have announced Rondo sustained a back injury during game two, leaving him out indefinitely and seeking recommendations from doctors. It certainly seems as though Rick Carlisle was right in thinking Rondo would not wear a Mavericks uniform again. That may induce a few songs of joy from Dallas fans.
