Ja Morant continues to be an absolute menace.
Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies opened up the season on Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, winning by a final score of 128-122. During the final seconds of the fourth quarter at FedEx Arena in Memphis, Tenn., the Grizzlies were leading by four points with possession of the ball.
The inbounds pass came to Morant, and he attempted to run away from the defense in order to dribble out the clock. Morant successfully put a juke move on Pelicans rookie guard Jeremiah Fears and got away from him.
As Morant was scurrying away, he taunted Fears by pointing back at him. Here is the video.

The two-time All-Star Morant was the star for the Grizzlies during Wednesday’s contest, finishing with a game-high 35 points on 13/20 shooting. Thus, he earned the right to high-step a bit at the end.
As for Fears, he is just 19 years old and was New Orleans’ No. 7 overall pick in this year’s draft. Wednesday marked his first-ever NBA game, and Morant certainly gave him something of a baptism there.
Meanwhile, it probably could have been worse for Fears, who finished the night with a strong 17 points on 7/10 shooting in just 18 minutes off the bench. At least Morant did not hit Fears with the gun gesture like he has done to others in the past.
