James Harden fires back at ‘clown’ Kevin McHale for saying he is not a leader
James Harden is letting his former head coach hear it.
Ex-Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale caused a bit of a stir this week in an appearance on NBA TV’s “Open Court” when he commented on the leadership qualities of Chris Paul and said that Harden “is not a leader.”

Speaking with the media on Saturday, Harden took some time to respond to the claim. He called McHale a “clown” and said that the comments spoke to the 59-year-old’s character, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

McHale coached Harden in Houston for three full seasons before his firing 11 games into the 2015-16 campaign. There were rumors at the time that Harden pushed for McHale’s dismissal, and McHale has made other critical comments about him since, so there’s obviously still some mutual bad blood there.
