Jared Dudley reacts to teammate ‘liking’ comment bashing him on Instagram
Kenneth Faried appears to be frustrated with his role on a Brooklyn Nets team that has started the season 8-16, but the veteran big man may have created some tension in the locker room recently with one of the ways he showed his displeasure.
Faried “liked” a series of comments on Instagram recently from fans who were calling for him to play more minutes. The issue is that one of the comments he liked was from a fan who bashed fellow Nets forward Jared Dudley by writing, “Get that bum dudley off the court and start giving my guy some more minutes!”

On Monday, Dudley was asked about the social media activity. He said his only reaction was that it was “unfortunate,” but he added that he understands why Faried is unhappy that he is barely playing.
“I have always been a person where if it needs to be addressed, I would address it,” Dudley told reporters. “It’s not like he said anything. Him liking something is something that I think I’ve been in his position before. I’ve had 40-60 (did not plays) my last two years in Phoenix. The only thing you try to do is, the advice I give not only to myself, but I give to others, is you always want to be professional and always want to do the right thing because your time will come.”
Dudley chalked the “like” up to a dumb mistake on social media, of which he admitted he has made many.
Faried has played in just eight games this season and only one over the past two weeks. He is averaging 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds while playing just 5.6 minutes per game. All of those marks are career lows for the 29-year-old, who was arrested during the offseason.
