Jimmer Fredette has enjoyed tremendous success in the Chinese Basketball Association over the past three seasons, and the former BYU star has finally earned his way back onto an NBA roster.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Thursday that Fredette has signed a two-year deal with the Phoenix Suns. The contract includes a team option for next season.

The Suns are 17-55 and arguably the worst team in the NBA, so Fredette will essentially be getting a tryout over their last 10 games. The 30-year-old is a three-time CBA All-Star and was named the league’s MVP in 2017. He ranked fourth in the league with 36.0 points per game this past season.
Fredette averaged just 6.0 points per game while playing for four different NBA teams prior to signing with the Suns, but he has flashed some outrageous potential overseas. The Suns certainly need all the help they can get.
