Jimmy Butler taken to locker room in wheel chair after hard fall (Video)
Pau Gasol missed Friday’s game against the Nuggets due to a hand injury. During the second quarter, another important member of the Bulls left with an ailment of his own.
While driving to the basket, Jimmy Butler was fouled and landed awkwardly on his lower back/hip area. Prior to making contact with the floor, Butler’s right knee appears to buckle. After being helped to his feet, he was seated in a wheel chair.

However, Butler’s stint in the wheel chair was temporary as he hobbled to the to the free throw line to shoot his free throws. He would miss the first one and make the second.

Afterward, Butler returned to the wheel chair and was this time taken to the locker room.

Butler did not return to the game with what the team called a left knee sprain.
Unfortunately, the injuries for Chicago continue to mount. In addition to Gasol and Butler, Nikola Mirotic is out indefinitely after undergoing an appendectomy and Joakim Noah had shoulder surgery and is expected to miss four to six months. Mike Dunleavy could make his season debut on Saturday after recovering from offseason back surgery. Hopefully, Butler’s return isn’t far behind.
