Joel Embiid dealing with stomach illness ahead of Game 2 against Raptors
The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to even things up in their playoff series against the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, but they may have to do that with Joel Embiid playing at less than 100 percent.
Embiid is listed as probable for Monday night’s game with gastroenteritis. He was expected to remain at the team’s hotel in Toronto rather than taking part in a shootaround.

It would be a surprise if Embiid ended up sitting out, especially with the 76ers having lost Game 1 on Saturday. Still, you have to wonder if he will be feeling well enough to play like his usual dominant self.
Embiid has been dealing with a nagging injury in addition to the stomach trouble, and he said previously that he expects his role to expand from Game 1 heading into Game 2. His illness could throw a wrench in those plans.
