Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone was one of the most old school players in basketball during his Hall of Fame NBA career. His strength and determination made him one of the game’s best low-post players and rebounders. Malone’s cell phone proves he has not lost that old school mentality.
The Mailman attended Monday night’s game between the Jazz and Atlanta Hawks. He was asked about his flip phone during an in-game interview.
“What you guys don’t realize is this is a masterpiece,” Malone joked. “It’s kind of like anything else. You keep it long enough and it’s going to come back in style — kind of like bell bottoms.”
Did bell bottoms come back in style? If so, the only reason they did is because other pants can’t surf the web or give you a weather report. If Malone has no use for a smartphone, more power to him. Those things are taking over the world. We’re not surprised he’s a guy who is fighting the power.
