Kendrick Perkins has been known as something of a goon in NBA circles and he was at it again on Friday.
During the fourth quarter, Perkins sent Damian Lillard to the floor with what resembled a clothesline while the Blazers guard was attempting to make his way to the basket.

Not surprisingly, Portland players didn’t take too kindly to their star teammate getting taken out. Words were exchanged afterward with Mason Plumlee among those letting Perkins know he didn’t approve.
The officials had no choice but to assess Perkins with a Flagrant 2 Foul, which carries an automatic ejection. Lillard remained in the game and finished with 33 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Earlier this month, LeBron James noted this year’s version of the Cavaliers doesn’t have an enforcer and mentioned Kendrick Perkins by name. It sounds like as much as it appears the Cavaliers miss Perkins, the Pelicans are getting just what they needed with him.
