Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players in the world and also a basketball video game enthusiast. You figure he’d use himself and the Oklahoma City Thunder when he plays basketball video games, but he says that’s not the case.
During an interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday, Durant said he wouldn’t play as himself in NBA 2K15 because that would be too arrogant. Then he said he would play the game with anyone, but when pressed, he admitted he plays as LeBron James.
The bit seemed a little scripted, but it was nonetheless humorous. And despite being rivals who are competing against each other for NBA championships, LeBron and Durant actually have a good relationship, though Durant has said he was tired of finishing behind LeBron in things.
