The Sacramento Kings said on Friday that they are looking into an altercation DeMarcus Cousins had with local columnist Andy Furillo after Monday’s game.
Cousins was upset with something Furillo mentioned in a column for the Sacramento Bee about the center and teammate Matt Barnes’ incident at a bar in New York that has resulted in a lawsuit. Cousins specifically was upset with Furillo for referencing a previous incident the big man had with his brother at a bar in Tampa.

On Friday, the Sac Bee wrote about the incident and noted the Kings were looking into it.
“We are committed to being open and transparent, and any hint of media censorship is unacceptable,” the statement said. “There is an ongoing review into this matter, and we will take the appropriate steps immediately upon its conclusion.”
