Kristaps Porzingis appears to be pleased with the idea of teaming up Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Dončić.
On Thursday, Porzingis was traded from the New York Knicks to the Dallas Mavericks after reportedly telling the Knicks he did not want to be there moving forward. While he apparently did not want to be in New York anymore, Porzingis seems happy to land in Dallas.
Hours after the trade was made official, Porzingis took to Twitter to share this GIF of himself and Dončić sharing a moment earlier this season.

If Porzingis can return to the form he showed last season once he’s recovered from his ACL injury, he and Dončić will form a dynamic young pairing for opposing teams to deal with. Porzingis will be a restricted free agent this summer, and there is no guarantee he will remain with the Mavs moving forward. Regardless, it was a worthwhile gamble for the Mavericks to put themselves in position to potentially have two of the NBA’s best young players for the near future.
